Citizens Congress Endorses Heidi Harmon for Mayor

The organization working to end big money in politics praises Heidi as the candidate who will represent our interest in campaign finance reform.

SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA: Citizens Congress has formally endorsed Heidi Harmon in the race for mayor of San Luis Obispo. Commending Heidi as someone who will fight for a more inclusive government, the volunteer organization signals that Heidi is the best choice for the city’s future.

Bill Ostrander, Director at Citizens Congress said:

“After careful consideration of the candidates for the San Luis Obispo Mayoral race, Citizens Congress is pleased to announce our endorsement of Heidi Harmon. We found her to be a conscientious citizen who most accurately represents the demographics of San Luis Obispo. She recognizes that the role of our representatives does not start and stop with our basic city functions. She has shown she will also represent our interest in having a more participatory and inclusive government that starts with the public funding of elections rather than the dependency on wealthy patrons that we see across America today.”

Ready for change at city hall, Citizens Congress joins a coalition of San Luis Obispo residents backing Heidi Harmon’s campaign for Mayor.
